Practicum : Day 2

Hi folks!

Day 2 at Sek Keb Taman Johor Jaya 2 just around the corner to finish. I taught Standard 3 Perdana, topic Length. The pupils in the class seems to be know very well about milimetres and centimetres but they have a little bit problem with meter. Some of them even said we can calculate the height of a tree by using a ruler.

Luckily I have been in the class from my last practicum somewhere aroud March, and I know to handle the class well. I started with ask them to introduce themselves. Most important I want to know what is their ambitions.

Then proceed with classroom routines like the rules in the class, the dos and don'ts when I am in the class and I even ask who is the naughty boys in the class. And they seems to be very honest with me by telling me everything. The point here is classroom routines/rules are very important. From there, the pupils can know what type of teacher you are. Second, give them first impression that you are very serious when involving in the business. No kidding when you are teaching because the knowledge is hard to get.

This time, my periods only before recess. After recess, I have no class at all. That's why I bring along my Readers Digest with me to school but I ending up at the computers' lab. Till now. Bye!
