Rumors It Is

I have read about facebook being closed somewhere around middle March. Maybe it's just one of the rumors here and there, maybe it's true. But, this is my assessment for what's going on. A frank one.

Mark Zuckerberg has quoted by saying that managing the site is stressful and has ruined his life. He just want his normal life back. But,let's look into some figures provided by the web.

A few big guns out there has been trying to buy facebook including Google and Apple itself. Because facebook is damn hot property to be lose. But Mark Zuckerberg has said that he wouldn't swap facebook with any social site because the facebook itself is not on money based, it's the satisfiction that keeps him going.

A few months back, facebook also has tied up the deal with Goldman Sachs which has staggering amount of $50 billions. Would you give up for some jaw dropping-amount like that? Facebook also has 600 million users and their offices are all over the world. Mark Zuckerberg's private fortune is said to be worth an estimated $4.4 billion. Facebook also has been said to have their own search engine like we have with Google and Yahoo today. Like I said earlier, it's a hot property.

"He's building them their own, self-contained World Wide Web. There's now so much to do within Facebook that its fans need never leave. They can play games, read news stories, browse pop stars' fan pages, even do some shopping using Facebook credits. This year, Facebook has launched Places, a mobile application that lets you share your location using on your phone; Questions, which lets your friends and friends of friends answer your queries; and Messages, an inbox combining messages from within Facebook with emails, text messages and instant messages from outside. Essentially, Facebook could REPLACE your email."

For me, this is one of the reasons that facebook will never be shut down. Because it has everything we need from the site. If only Mark Zuckerberg give up on his own site because he want his life back, there will be a very big company will do whatever it takes to take over facebook from him. Maybe with the different name and a slight changes because for them facebook simply means money. It's top billion dollar job.

Did I told you earlier that Mr Zuckerberg is a drop out from university? And today he's managing over 600 million users. Simply awesome person.
