Insight The Book #1

This is a simple first writing about my reading about Tun M's book. Mind you, this is very very simple and written randomly what I can remember.

Tun has been seen as a constant threat to the West during his remarkable 22 years at helm. Some people wondering why Tun always despise western countries since western countries are more developed compared to Malaysia. This is including me. Well, the reason is very simple. Western countries has been given hundreds of years to head this country as well as other countries. The Portuguese has been here since 1551 and we get our independence on 1957. You do the math how long they have been very lucky to get chance to bring success to Tanah Melayu but they just come to no avail.

Other people said that Tun does not have soft spot for the West because unlike the previous three PMs who were lawyers trained in London. Tun is a medical doctor from University of Malaya in Singapore. This alone has put himself not fit to be in the office because of the legislative functions involved in governance. So, initially people have been difficult to recognize him as a leader.

One thing that we should know about Tun's family is he does not have 7 children. He only has 4 biological children and the other 3 is only adopted child. Melinda is a kid from his close family while Maizura and Mazhar are the childs from Pakistan which Tun get them when he's on visit there. Tun and Dr Hasmah come from a big family and they want a big family also but God only sent 4 kids to them. That's why Tun adopted the other three.

Tun has 2 date of birth. His real birthday is 10 July 1925 but his father registered all of his siblings on December so that he can avoid any hassles with age when registering for his early school. And his father registered his birth date on 20 December, making him slightly younger than his real age. His grandfather is an Indian from India but he has a great love for being a Malay.

This is it so far. At least we already know why Tun always said he wanted to shape this country by using our own method, not copy and paste from the west. Because western have more flaws than us.
