Learning Mathematics never as easy as ABC. Phew!
I have come to the point where I think how unfortunately I am when I did not know the very basic skills in Maths. Yes, most basis skill in Maths. Or at least I took almost 10 seconds to answer every question asked. Let's say what we will get if we add up even number with odd number? What is the meaning of ratio? Which one is easier 3 + 8 or 8+ 3? If 6/3 is equal to 2, what is the term for 2?
Most people will say that we ( teachers trainee ) doesn't have any problem to get our degree since we will teach primary school. Yes, we will go to school one coming day. We still learn the same thing as Maths students in university even we are going to the primary school.
But the best part is we have nilai tambah because we already exposed to the school since Semester 1. Bear in mind we will teach the small kids who some of them may didn't know even how to read, we have to instill the strong basic/foundation for them. These kids will bring whatever we taught them for the whole their life.
Imagine what will happen if we taught them wrongly? Sometimes we have to reflect all of this on ourself. The best way to reflect is by doing a writing-self-reflection at least once a week. Then, we can go through the reflections to check whether we are still on the right path or otherwise. And I still working on it. One of my new year resolution. He he.
p/s : Still write about school. Am I so excited to go to practicum? Haih.
